I have lived in Fareham West Ward from aged 6, moving back from Singapore with a father in the medical services of the Royal Navy. Brother David and I attended Wallisdean, where our mother Christine Keeble worked for 31 years, then Bishopsfield and St Anne’s respectively. I married Robert in 1985 having met in our tutor group at Price’s College; he served 25 years in the Royal Marines. I remained in Fareham with our three children John who is a vet, David with his own business and Sarah now studying veterinary physiotherapy at university. I have worked continually since leaving college, firstly in a bank for 20 years, in retail, child-minding and later in a prep school and the local Conservative office as secretary. During the 53 years I have lived in Fareham West Ward, I have been actively involved in community life as a school governor and supporting various charities and local groups.
